Preparing God's Word for your heart
“The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.”
Isaiah 40:8
In the Lord have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.
In the Lord shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.—Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
The righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe.
To declare . . . at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.—Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.
Put . . . on the lord Jesus Christ.—That I may win Christ, and be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.—The righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe.
He hath covered me with the robe of righteousness.—I will go in the strength of the Lord God: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.
Ye were sometime darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children Light.
Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but rather reprove them.
All things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
Awake thou that sleepest, and rise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
See then that ye walk circumspectly.
Noah was a just man.
The just shall live by faith.—Noah builded an altar unto the Lord ; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. And the Lord smelled a sweet savour.—The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
By the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe for there is no difference.
We . . . joy in God, through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect ? It is God that justifieth.—Whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified.
The church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
Christ loved the church, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
There appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun.—The marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.—The righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe.
The glory which thou gavest me I have given them.
He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.—Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us.—Who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.—Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour.
I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, and be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.
