Delight in God has a transforming power and lifts a man above the gross desire of our fallen nature.
Delight in Jehovah is not only sweet in itself, but it sweetens the whole soul, till the longings of the heart become such that the Lord can safely promise to fulfill them. Is not that a grand delight which molds our desires till they are like the desires of God?
[Jesus] prayed the third time, saying the same words.
Who in the days of his flesh . . . offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death.
Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord ; that walketh in his ways. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
Trust in the Lord , and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
