When they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
Take no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
The Lord said, shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do?βIt is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven.βGod hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.βEven the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory.
Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.βThe secret of the Lord is with them that fear him: and he will shew them his covenant.βI have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures.βIt is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.βI thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.βWe have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.βHow precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand.βO the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? For of him, and through him, and to him are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth; but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
It is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven.
