I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
The missionary is one in whom the Holy Ghost has wrought this realization - "Ye are not your own." To say, "I am not my own" is to have reached a great point in spiritual nobility.
The true nature of the life in the actual whirl is the deliberate giving up of myself to another in sovereign preference, and that other is Jesus Christ.
He is the head of the body, the church.βThe head over things to the church, which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.βWe are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
A body hast thou prepared me.βThine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
