Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.βThe Lord is gracious and full of compassion. He will ever be mindful of his covenant.
He that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.βAs an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: so the Lord alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.
We glory in tribulations: . . . knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
No chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
