Daily Light on the Daily PathEvening β€’ February 7

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever.β€”We have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.β€”Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way.β€”He cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour? Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

Daily Light on the Daily PathEvening β€’ August 20

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.β€”My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.β€”He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him.β€”The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee.

I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.
