I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
Blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.βYe are the salt of the earth, . . . the light of the world.βLet your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is heaven.
Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.
For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel.
