Forasmuch . . . as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same.

Having made peace through the blood of his cross . . . You, that were sometimes alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight.
The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.
Ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.βYe who sometime were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.βNow therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God.
Let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me.
I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil.
